Super Busy
I haven’t written for a while. Been super busy at work with this new project, and home with various house projects. I’ve also released a new version of Jiggle Balls.
I saw “Angels & Demons” a week ago. It was pretty good (despite the sound level of the theatre being louder than a jet airplane). I loved that they changed the ending from the book. The ending in the book always bothered me. Looking forward to Terminator (although terribly bummed SCC got canned on TV). Even Land Of The Lost looks pretty cool (loved that show as a kid).
Have a great Memorial Day weekend!
In The Hours Before Black Friday…
Funny skit. Thanks Kim!
Henry… Meet Edward
Just got done watching “My Own Worst Enemy“. I liked it. It dares to ask the question… if your alter-ego sleeps with your wife, is it cheating? I really like Alfre Woodard (does she ever have a bad role?). Mike O’Malley’s character (Tom/Ray) will take a while to get used to. I still see him as the bum from “Yes Dear!”. Christian Slater is good. I always thought he should have been a bigger star than he was… but of course he had numerous run-ins with the law that curtailed his career (next up… Keifer…). Check it out. It’s one of the better shows I’ve seen yet this season (the jury is still out on Fringe).
Opportunity Sucks!
I watched that new show “Opportunity Knocks” last week. I didn’t like it. Why? 1) It’s all about greed. Prizes are danced in front of the family. It made me a little ill to see the kids with greed in their eyes. 2) I just don’t think the timing is right in this economy, where people are struggling to hang onto their houses. 3) Overacted. Obviously the families are coached on how to react.
So… it’s a strike for Ashton Kutcher. It could have been fun to watch families answer questions about each other, but I just don’t think it was executed successfully. Now if Cloris Leachman would get the hell off of Dancing With The Stars…
John Connor Is A Moron
Ok, what’s up with John Connor? This week on the season opener of “Terminator:SCC” he brought Cameron back to life after she tried to TERMINATE him! Mom (Sarah) shoulda intervened. But great season opener. I just wonder how long they can keep the “on-the-run” story going. I did like “liquid girl”. WooHoo!
Wipeout
Have you watched Wipeout on ABC? I absolutely love this show. Something about watching other people “wipeout” is really funny! John Anderson and John Henson (of Talk Soup fame) are excellent hosts and work off each other really well. This is about the only show I’ve consistently dvr’d through the summer season. And of course, who can forget THE BIG BALLS!?!
